Michele has served on the WHES PTO board for several years as Secretary and excited to serve her first term as the PTO President. Michele, her husband Steve, and two daughters moved to Calvert County in 2014 when Steve was re-assigned to Joint Base Andrews. Originally from Louisiana, Michele fell in love with Calvert County for its' friendly rural feel and convenient access to the many historical sites in and around our National Capital Region.
Michele spent over a decade as an elementary STEM teacher in Louisiana before taking a pause to support her family. As an educator and parent, Michele understands the importance of a strong PTO. Her priorities are supporting the WHES teachers and staff, bringing faculty and families together, and broadening our children's educational foundation.

Theresa is new to the WHES PTO board, serving her first year as Member at large. Theresa and her husband, Michael moved from PG County to Owings, MD three years ago for school and work. They have two daughters, one at WHES and one a WHMS. Theresa started working at WHES as an ESOL teacher in 2019.
Theresa received her BA and M.Ed. from universities in the District of Columbia. She has been working in the elementary world for the past 18 years as a classroom teacher, parent liaison, and ESOL teacher. Theresa has always been involved in education, as she grew up volunteering at Catholic University’s Children’s Education Center. Recently Theresa has a love of sports and the outdoors, you may see her coaching a local youth soccer or softball team.
